Kagaku Scientific supplies, installs and supports select, industry-leading analytical and synthesis instruments for the material science field. We represent a focused portfolio from Hot Disk® Instruments, Advance Riko, Hitachi, AGUS, ai-Phase and flucon, specialist manufacturers and leading technology companies from Sweden, Japan and Germany.
Kagaku was founded in 1991 by Dr. Lars Hälldahl in Uppsala, Sweden. Kagaku’s strong connection to Japan – where Dr. Helldahl for several years served as the technical attaché at the Swedish Embassy in Tokyo – shaped its original mission: to bring high-quality Japanese instruments to the Nordic and European markets, while also introducing Swedish technology to Japan. The name Kagaku means science in Japanese, reflecting the company’s long-standing focus on scientific instrumentation and international collaboration.
We choose our partners carefully and work only with instruments that fit our technical expertise. Our core scientific staff are seasoned material-science PhDs with more than a decade of experience, enabling us to evaluate, present and support each product with real application knowledge.
Every product we represent must also meet the standards we expect in performance, reliability and accuracy. We work with instruments we know well and trust, supporting customers from initial application and technical discussions through installation, operation and long-term use.
Over more than 35 years, Kagaku has built its business through stable and growing relationships, regular customer communication and practical material-analysis expertise. With laboratories in Sweden, we support industrial and academic R&D teams developing new materials, testing material properties, improving processes and securing reliable results.
We represent our partners, mostly on an exclusive basis, in Scandinavia, Europe and/or Asia.
